Steven Ha is a sophomore honors political science major from Houston, Texas and is running to be your Executive President. He has previously served as executive intern to the HUSA president as well as co-communications director of HUSA. He is most excited about the implementation of the first ever Mental Health Department as he believes it will be a necessary first step in finding solutions to address a growing problem on our campus and campuses across the country.
Lauren Lowe is a sophomore honors chemistry major from Houston, TX and is running to be your Executive Vice President. She is most excited about the Go Green initiatives as she is very passionate about environmental issues and making Howard University an eco-friendly environment.

Mariah Cooley is a freshman political science major from Peoria,IL and is running to be your Secretary. She is a co-founder and currently serves as the Legislative Director for the Howard chapter of March For Our Lives. She also is a team leader for the Lobbying Collective for March For Our Lives DC. She is most excited about the implementation of the Leadership Development Academy as she believes it will be a great growing experience and networking opportunity for COAS students that will enhance their development later on in their careers.
Sean Ali-Waddell is a Freshman Political Science Major from Louisville, KY and is currently running for the position of Executive Treasurer. Through a multitude of approaches ranging from a diverse pool of artistic expressions, providing guidance for young “at risk” black males as a mentor, oratory pedagogy, and direct organizing in his community, Sean employs and details his vision of a better America in a plethora of ways. He is currently working with Howard’s MSA and Chapel to help facilitate more interfaith dialogues on campus and is involved with the economic sector of the campus NAACP. He is thrilled to bring his background and skillset to serve the College of Arts and Sciences, with the clear intention of helping to create a stronger, improved University where students are concerned.

SEAN ALI-WADDELL
Morgan Grillier is a Sophomore Sports Medicine Major/Chemistry Minor From Orlando, FL by way of Detroit, Michigan and is the Chief or Staff for ELEVATE. She currently serves as the Head of community service and fundraising for ELITE models, a mentor for the juvenile detention center in southeast D.C. with JUSTUS, and a member of the Pre-Dental Society. She is most excited about internship partnerships in order to give students of COAS an opportunity to explore realms of the real world using the tools they have acquired at Howard University.
Sunlyn Kearney is a sophomore honors Biology major and Chemistry minor from Atlanta, Georgia. Over the past two summers she has been a member of the Georgia Governor’s Honors Program as an Agricultural Science major and Counseling minor while being an intern for the Artemis Young Writers Institute. During her freshman year at Howard, she served as the Treasurer for The College Of Arts and Science’s Freshman Council while being in the ASL club, and she looks forward to continuing to serve the students of COAS.

Asmara Montgomery is a junior, sociology major, political science minor from Atlanta Georgia. While at Howard, she has become a member of the Georgia Club, HU ELITE models, PROSPER, Bison Volunteer Alliance, and the College of Arts and Sciences Student Council. She is also the 2019-2020 Miss BETA for Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated Beta Chapter. Within the organization HU ELITE, she served as the 2018-2019 head of community service and fundraising, a model coach, a model, and currently serves in the CORE as the 2019-2020 secretary. Following her alternative spring break trip, she became the Vice President for Bison Volunteer Alliance, a new organization dedicated to service. For COAS Student Council, she served as a student advocacy intern specializing in campus partnerships and outreach. In terms of the community, her passion for the educational development of kids led to her becoming a weekly volunteer for DC Reading Partners, a literacy non-profit that aids children k-2 with their reading abilities.
ASMARA MONTGOMERY
Madison Curry is a junior Criminology major Legal Communications minor from Lithonia, GA. She has career plans of becoming a public defender to assist the black community in need when involved with the criminal justice system. Her goal is to weaken the hold the criminal justice system maintains over the black community through activism and volunteer work. She is the Events Coordinator for Just Us, a student led organization dedicated to mentoring detained and committed youth in the Washington, D.C. area. She is also a volunteer through the Petey Greene program, acting as a tutor to incarcerated individuals in the DMV area. She is also a member of the Ladies of the Quad Social Club and enjoys cooking, watching youtube videos, and online shopping in her free time.

Marcell Breaux is a Junior Sports Management major, Legal Communications minor, Fashion Studies unofficial minor, from Pensacola, FL. He currently is the Vice President of the Transfer Student Association, and also sits on the Student Activity Fee Committee. After graduation he looks to obtain his law degree and pursue a career in the NBA.
Jade Pinnock is a Junior honors psychology major biology and chemistry minor from Houston, Texas. She currently serves as the co-fundraising chair of HBCU, Imprint, Inc. and is a member of Her Campus serving on the event planning committee. Jade is passionate about student advocacy as a whole, with a focus on mental health and wellness, as well as ensuring all COAS students have access to the information that will allow them to make an informed decision on their majors and career paths, particularly those who are undecided.

Jacob Brooks is a sophomore honors biology major with a double minor in chemistry and mathematics. He is a part of the second cohort of the Karsh STEM Scholars Program (formally Bison STEM), and he spent this past summer researching Osteosarcomas in the Cancer Biology Department of Vanderbilt University through the Leadership Alliance. He presented his research at ABRCMS in Anaheim, CA and SACNAS in Honolulu, Hawaii this past fall winning awards at both. He plans to pursue an MD-Ph.D. in the field of Emergency General Surgery and continue to make advancements in field of cancer biology. He’s a member of the Cook Hall Step Team and a 2019 ResFest Champion. Last spring he went to Flint, MI as a part of ASB, and this spring he will be going to Camden/Philly site. Jacob enjoys hanging out with friends in his free time and is excited to be apart of the ELEVATE team.
